What Does it Really Mean to be Healthy?

The definition of ‘Health’ defined by the Oxford dictionary is simply “to be free of sickness and disease”

To me health is not as simple as being free from sickness and disease (although yes this is a sign of health).  I believe the optimum whole body health that many of us seek comes from embodying BALANCE in every aspect of our lives.

Dis-ease cannot manifest in a healthy cell that is in balance and whole.

Our human body is made up of cells, a cell is made up of atoms, an atom is 99.9999999999996% space with a central nucleus filled with protons and neutrons.

This means that as human beings, we are predominantly made up of space with negative and positively charged energy moving and vibrating at differing speeds, we are then vibration, as is everything that exists in this universe.

Remember high school chemistry ?

Electrons have a -1charge

Whist Protons have a +1 charge (equal yet opposite)

Electrons orbit the nucleus somewhat similar to planets orbiting the sun, yet more complex.

Electrons are most often equal to protons which then balances out.

However when an atom has more electrons than protons, it gains a negative charge becoming out of balance, this is then called a free radical. Free radicals seek other free radicals to equal out their charge becoming groups of free radicals which are often defined as disease, tumours, cancer etc.

To be in optimum health, we must ensure balance in all areas of our lives by taking care of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

This means being AWARE of EVERYTHING that we expose ourselves to and what we choose to give energy to.

What I have come to know is that Everything maters, Nothing does not mater.

To ensure optimum health and balance, we must be willing to address every aspect of our lives as they affect all four of our bodies, our pysical, mental, emotional and spiritual body.

Physical body- become aware of everything you put into your body, on your body and around your body.. nourish your physical vessel by ensuring enough sleep, rest, deep conscious breathing, movement, exercise, whole food, spring water, fresh air, oxygen, nature, grounding, positive people, healthy environments etc

Mental body- aware of what thoughts we give energy too. Learning to become the master of your mind, observer of your thoughts, identify old limiting stories and beliefs you hold onto, choose to respond to triggers rather than react, feed only the thoughts that you wish to see grow. Create stillness in your life, meditate, find your centre

Emotional body- being aware of your physical feeeling body, allowing emotions to move through you freely and fully, EXPRESS yourself truthfully and authentically in every moment.

Spiritual body- knowing and believing that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience, holding and maintaining a faith and connection to source, god, the great goddess, (however you chose to define this). Ask for what you want, watch for signs and omens. LISTEN in silence for the answers you seek.
